We encourage you to view the transparencies on: http://agenda.cern.ch/fullAgenda.php?ida=a05799 Regards, Wesley Points from first 904 Commissioning Meeting - Wesley Smith, 2/2/05 The meeting was very productive and a number of excellent ideas emerged. The group is enthusiastic about getting in to 904 and prepared to move in when it is available. Robert Benetta is the point of contact for getting things done in 904. Magnus Hansen is in charge of the off-detector electronics integration that we are testing in 904. Peter Sharp has asked Jordan Nash and Wesley Smith to provide oversight of the Electronics Integration Center. We are still planning to start moving in to 904 Mid-March. We will plan to start short dedicated 904 meetings every other week and then weekly when we move into 904. We also plan a review of the start of 904 activities during the CMS week, the results and experience from the first month on Tuesday, April 19, and during electronics week (May 9 - 13). We hope that these major 'startup' meetings will be sufficient to allow supervision through the weekly meetings with video, but more reviews should be scheduled if substantial problems develop. After the meeting, based on the information acquired, we propose a new layout of the lab space, revised from the layout approved by the ESSC last June (numbered from the wall farthest from the large door): LAB RACK ESSC-Jun04 NEW-Feb05 Local Contact 1 1 Else TOTEM Snoeys 2 2 ME 1 ECAL/Presh Nash 3 ME 2 ECAL Nash 3 4 MB 1 HCAL 1 Kellog 5 MB 2 HCAL 2 Kellog 4 6 HCAL 1 RCT Chumney/Grothe 7 HCAL 2 GCT Brooke 5 8 ECAL 1 GMT/GT/TTC Mikulec/Jeitler/Troska 9 ECAL 2 DTTF Ero 6 10 Tracker 1 CSC TF Holmes 11 Tracker 2 CSC FED Borcherding 7 12 TTC&FEC 1 RPC Kudla (not resident) 13 TTC&FEC 2 DT RO ?? 8 14 Trigger 1 Tracker/Pixel Marchioro+Seigrist 15 Trigger 2 Tracker Marchioro+Seigrist 9 16 LV1 LV/DCS Lusin/Varela 17 LV 2 LV/DSS/RSS Lusin/Gaddi A picture of the layout is provided on: http://cmsdoc.cern.ch/cms/TRIDAS/tr/0502/layout904-feb05.pdf We also have placed some pictures of the state of Building 904 on this directory as well.
